The Preparatory level focuses on more complex academic skills of preschoolers in Lollypop's fun and supportive environment. Children already know how to read, write, count and some basic operations of numbers, creative arts and basic science knowledge. With the implementation of the IEYC curriculum, Preparatory level is the perfect preparation for Primary Education.

The children's personal, social and emotional development are enhanced through the Independence and Interdependence strand of IEYC. The sense of being a global citizen is also developed through the IEYC international dimension. Speaking and listening, reading, writing, numbers, shape and measures, ICT, and expressive arts and creativity are further developed under the IEYC Communicating strand.

Complex reading skills are introduced in Preparatory and enriched with IEYC themes and activities. As preschoolers are always curious, the Enquiring strand of IEYC best fit this characteristic. As they are already used to have an enquiring attitude, more exploration activities and science experiments are given. Their positive attitude to health, self-care and physical activity is strengthened in the Healthy Living and Physical Well-Being strand.

All activities are delivered to the learners through the IEYC process of learning. We believe that learning happens when developmentally-appropriate, teacher-scaffolded and child-initiated experiences harness children's natural curiosity in an enabling environment. Children look forward to Exit Points which provide fun and practical application of what they learned in an IEYC unit.
